Did you know that there are more than 26,000 species on the “red list” of endangered species? Time to take action! Since 2003, the DierenPark Amersfoort Wildlife Fund has been committed to the protection of endangered animals and their habitats. Our mission:
“The goal of the foundation DierenPark Amersfoort Wildlife Fund is the protection of nature and in particular endangered species.”
The animal inhabitants in DierenPark Amersfoort are ambassadors for their kind in the wild. The DierenPark Amersfoort Wildlife Fund supports various projects around the world. From the chimpanzee in Cameroon to the honeybee in Amersfoort and from the spectacled bear in Peru to the vulture in the Balkan areas. Together with the local population, we are working on a safe living environment for these animals. This is done through, for example, research and education. Thanks to a good network and close cooperation with conservationists in the field, every euro is well spent. The DierenPark Amersfoort Wildlife Fund is a small-scale foundation that has personal contact with the projects it supports. The lines are short and we know the people in the field. With the Wildlife Fund, DierenPark Amersfoort contributes to ensuring that our children and future generations can still encounter elephants, lions, chimpanzees and many other species in the wild.
