Persian panther

The Persian panther lives in western Asia, much of it in Iran. Probably about 550 to 850 animals live scattered throughout Iran. However, actually quite little is known about these animals and their demographics. Since the animal is endangered, it is useful to collect data regarding the populations that are there. One of the biggest threats to panthers is humans. Therefore, workshops and education programs are organized for residents near the protected area. Thanks to the logistical and financial help of DierenPark Amersfoort Wildlife Fund, the Iranian Cheetah Society can train local partners to effectively protect the areas.
