Kenia Biodiversity Conservation 8.000 2019

There are currently less than 3,000 wild dogs living in Africa. Why is that? Forests are being cut down en masse, forcing the wild dogs to move to other areas. This often does not end well for them. It is very important that local communities know that the wild dog is threatened with extinction and that they must protect this species. That is why the DierenPark Amersfoort Wildlife Fund supports a project that is dedicated to this. The project focuses on Kenya and collects important information about nature. In this way the project helps to create a safe living environment for the African wild dog.
