The habitat of chimpanzees in Nigeria and Cameroon is becoming smaller and smaller. Plantations and settlements of the local population ensure that the area of the chimpanzees is divided into smaller and smaller pieces. By creating special passageways for chimpanzees, they can once again reach any part of their habitat. The DierenPark Amersfoort Wildlife Fund is helping to build such a passage. This special project protects the biodiversity of the area and helps one of the world’s most iconic species.
